Christopher M. White has been Managing Partner of Eques since 2011. Chris grew up in Holmes County and attended West Holmes. He attended Kentucky Christian College (now University) and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Advanced Biblical Studies and a minor in Hermeneutics. From 2002 to 2008 Chris taught Theology at a private academy.

Chris attended the University of Akron School of Law from 2008 to 2011. During Chris’ time in law school, Thomas D. White (Chris’ father) retired as the Holmes County Common Pleas Court Judge and the two of them opened White Law Office. After Chris passed the bar in 2011 White Law Office was reorganized as White Law Office, Co. In 2021, White Law Office, Co. rebranded as Eques, Inc. Since that time Chris has focused on building the firm into a multi-location entity, expanding the firm’s practice areas, and adding skilled professionals to our staff.

Chris’ practice focuses on the Oil and Gas development impacting Ohio, small business legal counsel, real estate, mediation, negotiation and general transactional work. He is honored to be on the Ohio Farm Bureaus list of trusted advisors to landowners dealing with oil and gas related issues. Since 2011 the firm has worked with landowners in more than 24 counties on oil and gas leases, pipeline right of ways and infrastructure, oil and gas related litigation, and auditing royalty payments.

In addition to working with Thom, as father and son practitioners, Chris works with his wife Jaime who is Eques Inc.’s HR Director. Chris, Jaime, their two daughters (Adleigh and Elianna), their dog Gidget, and their cat Becca live, work, and play together in Holmes County.

In addition to managing the firm, Christopher has also written a book, called Bootsville.
